An embargo was imposed on all the UK flights on December 21, 2020. This came into effect from December 23, 2020 in the wake of the new COIVD strain that was first reported in the United Kingdom.

There are several airlines that operate from India and the UK including British Airways, Air India, Vistara, and Virgin Atlantic. The airports connecting London to Indian airports are Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Amritsar, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad.

- UK to India from 8 Jan 2021
- India to UK from 6 Jan 2021
- Per week 30 flights will operate i.e. 15 each by Indian and UK carriers
India UK Air Bubble Agreement
Under the Air bubble agreement, India planned to resume the regular operation of 70 flights to the UK per week. And this number has now been reduced to 30, which will be revised post January 23, 2021. So, far the UK retunes in Delhi, Maharashtra, and other neighboring cities have started to test positive for the mutated Coronavirus.
Since the international flights resume, the health ministry also provided detailed guidelines on the checking procedure for international passengers. As per the new guidelines, international passengers will have to provide a self-declaration form on the New Delhi Airport online portal at least 72 hours before the planned travel. It is essential to carry a negative RT-PCR test report and a copy of the form needs to be uploaded on this portal.
