Cancer Insurance for My Wife.Soplease Call me for More Imformation.I will be great Ful to have call back,

Policybazaar Team

Hello Priyal, thanks for writing in. In a cancer insurance policy, The insurance company pays a lump sum amount equal to the sum insured when the insured is diagnosed with cancer. The sum can be used to pay for cancer treatment expenses. As long as the diagnosis occurs within the policy year, the claim money is typically payable at different stages of diagnosis, including minor, major, and critical stages. But death, maturity, or surrender benefits are not included with cancer insurance policies.

in your case, you won’t be able to buy a cancer insurance plan for your wife after cancer treatment. However, you will be able to buy a critical illness insurance policy to cover cancer and other critical diseases.

An insurance policy for critical illnesses protects the insured from fatal critical illnesses like cancer, heart attacks, renal failure, etc. This critical illness policy offers a lump sum amount of coverage that can pay for expensive medical costs associated with critical illnesses that are covered by the insurance policy.

Most insurers provide coverage to the insured having insurance prior to the diagnosis. Varying from one insurer to another, there are some plans that offer coverage after the diagnosis as well. There is a waiting period that depends on the severity of the illness.

We are arranging a callback from our insurance advisor to assist you with your query. You can learn more about Critical Illness policy here
