Hi Kaushal, thanks for reaching out. Two-wheeler insurance/Bike Insurance is a coverage purchased to protect your motorbike or scooter from harm caused by an accident, robbery, or natural catastrophe. Two-wheeler insurance protects you from third-party obligations resulting from accidents to one or more people. Bike insurance is an excellent way to cover the financial costs and losses that may emerge as a result of motorbike harm. The bike insurance policy protects all kinds of two-wheelers, including motorcycles, mopeds, scootys, and scooters.
There are two types of policies under Two-wheeler insurance
Under a third-party bike insurance policy, the insurance company will cover the cost of any damages caused to the third party's property or injuries sustained by the third party in an accident involving your bike. However, this policy does not cover damages to your bike or injuries sustained by you in an accident.
It is essential to have a third-party bike insurance policy, as it not only protects you from financial liabilities but also helps you comply with the law. In case of an accident, having a third-party bike insurance policy can provide you with peace of mind and financial security.
Under a comprehensive third-party insurance policy, the insurance company will cover the cost of any damages caused to the third party's property or injuries sustained by the third party in an accident involving your bike. Additionally, this policy also covers damages to your bike and injuries sustained by you in an accident, up to the policy limit.
While a comprehensive third-party insurance policy provides greater coverage than a basic third-party insurance policy, it is also more expensive. However, the additional coverage provided by a comprehensive policy can provide you with greater peace of mind and financial security in case of an accident.
You will be asked a few details about your vehicle such as the vehicle registration number/ the make and model, registration city and the registration year of your two-wheeler, registration number, expiry date of your existing insurance if any, and the type of cover you want. Once you enter the details, you will have several plan options and add-ons you can choose from.
