Hi I need details for autoimmune disease insurance. I have arthritis and have had a surgery in 2015 of both hip joints. Is it under normal health insurance plans or some other critical illness. Rgds Pankaj Pankajurbanpro@gmail.com
Hi Pankaj, Thanks for reaching out. Critical illness policies are different from comprehensive health insurance plans in that they only cover life-threatening diseases such as cancer, tumor, permanent paralysis, etc. and they do not necessarily require hospitalization; the insured can get a lumpsum payout just on being diagnosed. While a comprehensive health insurance policy will provide comprehensive cover for most diseases on hospitalization only.
