Need Standalone Owner Driver Personal Accident cover
Hi Varad, Thanks for reaching out. The mandatory personal accident cover for owner-driver only covers the owner of the car. However, you can buy separate add-on covers for paid drivers or co-passengers in your car for some additional premium. The conditions that need to be fulfilled in both cases are as follows:
1. Personal accident cover for paid driver: This is only available for the person declared as the paid driver in an additional proposal form that needs to be filled at the time of purchase of the car insurance policy
2. Personal accident cover for unnamed passengers: A claim against this can only be made if your car did not have more passengers than legally allowed at the time of the accident
