    IFFCO Tokio Hospital Daily Cash policy provides a fixed cash benefit to the insured for each day of hospitalization resulting from an accidental injury or an illness. It offers double the daily hospital cash amount in case the insured is hospitalized in the ICU or Intensive Care Unit. It also provides a daily cash benefit for day care procedures and modern treatment methods & advancements in technologies.

    The IFFCO Tokio Hospital Cash policy comes with the hospital cash amount options of Rs 250/500/750/1000/1500/2500/5000 per day. On the other hand, it comes with the number of hospital cash days of 15/30/60/90/180 days.

    The following coverage is offered by IFFCO Tokio Hospital Daily Cash policy:

    • Hospital Daily Cash - Offers a hospital cash benefit every day if hospitalized due to an illness or accidental injury
    • ICU Daily Cash - Offers twice the daily cash benefit amount if admitted to the ICU
    • Day Care Surgery Cash - Offers a hospital cash benefit for one day if undergoing a covered day care procedure
    • Modern Treatment Cash - Offers a hospital cash benefit for each day of hospitalization due to modern treatment methods and advancement in technologies, such as oral chemotherapy, Stem cell therapy, etc.

    Exclusions of IFFCO Tokio Hospital Cash Policy

    The IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance Company Limited does not provide coverage for the following medical expenses:

    • Maternity expenses
    • Treatment of alcohol or drug addiction
    • Dental treatment
    • Injuries/illness due to participation in hazardous or adventure sports
    • Intentional self-injury or an attempt to suicide
    • Congenital anomaly
    • Sterility & infertility treatment
    • Regular preventive health check-up
    • Sexually transmitted diseases except for HIV AIDS

      The IFFCO Tokio Hospital Daily Cash policy comes with the following  waiting period:

      • Initial waiting period - 30 days
      • Pre-existing diseases - 48 months
      • Specific diseases/ procedures - 24/48 months
    • Q. Is there a way to reduce my IFFCO Tokio Hospital Cash policy premium?

      Yes. You can reduce your IFFCO Tokio Hospital Cash policy premium with the help of the following:

      • Family discount - 5% savings on premium if two family members and 10% savings on premium if three or more family members are covered under the same policy
      • Existing customer discount - 10% savings on premium if you already have an insurance policy by IFFCO Tokio General Insurance Company Limited
      • Online/ Walk-in discount - 10% savings on premium if you purchase the policy online or by visiting the nearest branch of the insurer

      Please note that you cannot avail more than a total of 25% savings on premium under the IFFCO Tokio Hospital Cash policy.

    • Q. Can I cancel my IFFCO Tokio Hospital Cash policy after buying?  

      Yes. You can cancel your IFFCO Tokio Hospital Cash policy after buying. If you cancel the policy during the free look period i.e. the first 15 days of policy commencement, then you would not have to pay any cancellation fee. But if you cancel your policy after the free look period, a cancellation fee will apply.

    • Q. Can I change my daily cash amount under the IFFCO Tokio Hospital Cash policy mid-term? 

      No. You cannot change your daily cash amount or number of hospital cash days under the IFFCO Tokio Hospital Daily Cash policy mid-term.

      You must submit the following documents to raise a claim under the IFFCO Tokio Hospital Cash policy:

      • IFFCO Tokio claim form
      • Photo ID & age proof
      • Doctor’s prescription advising hospitalization
      • Diagnostic/ investigative test reports
      • OT notes
      • Copy of FIR, if applicable
      • Hospital discharge summary
      • NEFT details
      • KYC details (in case of a claim above Rs 1 lakh)
