The blaze caused significant destruction, gutting most of the materials stored. Firefighters from Dahod and nearby towns, including Jhalod, Chhota Udepur, and Godhra, were deployed to control the fire. Officials noted that strong winds made the operation more challenging.
An NTPC team member said the fire was first noticed around 9:15 pm, and emergency services were called immediately. Despite quick action, the fire spread rapidly due to wind conditions, and the stored equipment could not be saved, leading to considerable financial losses.
