Policyholders can access many of the various online options or methods to make premium payments conveniently so that they can stay current with their premium due dates and keep their life insurance policies active.

What are LIC Online Payments?

LIC online payments are offered as an option for policyholders to pay insurance premiums using secure, digital methods. Customers have access to multiple methods of making premium payments with minimal hassle, including access to policy-related information through either a customer portal or via their mobile device offered by LIC of India.

Besides, through this method, policyholders can find out their upcoming payment schedule and confirm that their payments have been properly recorded.

Some important features of the LIC online payment facility are:

  • Make premium online payment conveniently - you have at your disposal the channel through which you want to carry out the payment.

  • Easy your policy management - just contact us anytime and anywhere to view your policy-related information and payment details.

  • Get Timely Reminders - You will be notified about premium payment due dates and other important updates via alerts.

How Can I Pay the Premium of My Policy?

LIC (International) offers different methods for paying premiums. Policyholders can select the option that best suits their requirements.

Transfer Directly to Bank Accounts of LIC (International)

Customers can make premium payments by transferring the amount directly to the designated bank accounts of LIC (International). This method provides a secure and convenient way to complete transactions without visiting the branch. After the payment is credited, the premium amount is recorded against the policy.

Direct bank transfers are particularly useful for policyholders who prefer digital transactions and wish to complete the process from their home or workplace.

At Cash Counter of LIC (International) Branch Office

Policyholders who prefer offline payments can visit the nearest LIC (International) branch office and pay their premiums at the cash counter. The payment is processed immediately, and the receipt is issued to the payee on the spot.

This option is suitable for customers who want in-person assistance or wish to complete their transactions directly at the branch office.

How Do I Know That Insurance Premiums Are Due?

LIC (International) keeps policyholders informed about upcoming premium payments through various communication channels. Premium notices are sent by post, while premium alert messages mentioning the due date, premium amount, and applicable late fees are sent to the registered mobile number and email address.

Customers can also check policy details through the customer portal or by downloading the “LIC Intl” mobile application available on Google Play Store and App Store. Registration can be completed by providing the policy number, date of birth, and premium amount in USD for any one policy.

Once registration is successful, the login credentials are sent to the registered mobile number. In the Policyholder Code, the first two characters “PO” are alphabetic and should not be mistaken for numbers.

How Is the Premium Receipt Issued?

The process of issuing premium receipts depends on the payment mode chosen by the policyholder.

When the premium amount is paid at the cash counter of an LIC (International) branch office, the premium receipt is generated immediately and handed over to the payee.

For payments made through telex transfers or remittances deposited at bank counters, the premium receipt is dispatched to the registered address available in the policy records. This ensures that customers receive an official acknowledgment of their premium payment.

The LIC online payment facility offers several advantages to policyholders and makes premium payments more convenient.

  • Saves time and effort: Premiums can be paid without visiting the branch office.
