Unlawful Defaults Leading to Compensatory Damages: If compensatory damages are awarded against a director or officer due to unlawful acts, those amounts are covered by the policy.
Settlement of Legal Disputes Out of Court: Costs arising from out-of-court settlements are covered, helping your company avoid extended litigation and reputational risks.
Defence and Legal Representation Costs: The policy covers defence costs and related legal expenses, including the cost of appointing qualified legal expertise to protect your interests.

Raheja QBE Directors & Officers Insurance Exclusions

Despite its robust nature, Raheja QBE Directors & Officers Insurance has defined exclusions that limit its scope.

Prior or Pending Litigation: Any claim arising from litigation or circumstances that were known before the start date of the policy. This includes pending lawsuits or regulatory proceedings already underway at the time of purchase.
Actions by Substantial Shareholders: The policy excludes claims made by individuals or entities that hold 25% or more of the voting rights in the company, due to the high potential for conflicts of interest.
Absolute Asbestos: Any loss, damage, or liability directly or indirectly related to asbestos or materials containing asbestos is not covered under any circumstances.
Bodily Injury / Property Damage: Physical injuries, fatalities, psychological harm, and damage to tangible property fall outside the scope of this insurance.
