About the Company
Kia India began its journey in 2017 by working with the Andhra Pradesh Government to build a modern factory in Anantapur. In 2019, Kia made a big impact by launching its first SUV, the
Kia Seltos, which set new standards in the SUV market. Today, Kia offers 7 models in India, including 5 SUVs and 2 MUVs.
The Anantapur plant can produce around 3 lakh cars every year. So far, it has successfully delivered over 6.3 lakh vehicles, with 5 lakh sold in India and 1.5 lakh exported to international markets.
Kia does not have ownership of its own company in India, as Kia India is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company, which holds a 34.16% stake in Kia globally.
