What is PNB KYC Form?

PNB KYC Form is used by Punjab National Bank to collect and verify customers' details. It requires your name, address and financial details. The form facilitates PNB in updating the records of its customers and fulfilling KYC compliance. Customers may be required to fill the form when opening a savings account or even when updating their KYC information. Failure to update your PNB KYC when necessary might lead to limitations on specific banking services until the KYC process is completed.

How to get PNB KYC Form?

The PNB KYC Form is available to customers and can be obtained via the following channels:

  • Download Online: Open the official site of PNB and navigate to the Account, Loan, KYC and Service Forms section and download the Specimen Proforma of the KYC Updation and print it.
  • Visit a Branch: Customers may visit any of the PNB branches to request and fill a physical KYC updation form.
  • Digital KYC Update: In case of no changes in the KYC information, qualified customers are allowed to update their KYC online via the PNB DigiKYC Portal, PNB ONE mobile app or Internet Banking.

Key Sections of the PNB KYC Form

There are certain key sections of the PNB KYC updation form which need to be filled in English BLOCK letters. While submitting the form, make sure that you have carefully filled the required details below:

  • Fill in the Branch Details: Branch Name, Sol ID and Date.
  • Account Details: Use your 16-digit account number and Customer ID.
  • Personal Details: Your name, date of birth, gender, name of parents and parents occupation.
  • Finances: Show your annual income and future credit expectations.
  • OVD Details: Fill in the document type, number and expiry date.
  • Address Details: Permanent Address and Communication Address.
  • Photo/Signature: A recent passport sized photo and signature should be attached to places as specified.

How to Submit the PNB KYC Form

KYC form is simplified and can be submitted using different mediums at PNB. The major options are:

  • PNB KYC Update Through SMS: You can send SMS to 9264092640 or 5607040 with the last 4-digits of Customer ID. It is the fastest way and does not require uploading documents.
  • PNB One Mobile App: Tap My Profile, verify KYC Status and tap Update KYC using your credentials. Scanned copies of documents can be uploaded, and in most cases the process can be done through OTP verification using Aadhaar.
  • Through Internet Banking Services: Log in to your account, navigate to Personal Settings, then check KYC Status, and proceed with the update in the same way as in the app.
  • Through Video KYC: Where available for your account type, a PNB representative verifies your identity over a live video call after you show your original PAN and Aadhaar on camera.
  • By Visiting a Branch: You can collect the KYC form from your home branch, or download it from the official PNB website, fill it out, attach self attested copies of your documents, and submit it in person.
  • Registered Email/Post: It can also be done by registered mail or email with the KYC documents that are self-attested and a written request to your home branch, for those who cannot come physically.

Common Mistakes While Filling the PNB KYC Form

Below are some of the common mistakes which one should avoid in the process of filling the PNB KYC Form.

  • Entering Incorrect Details: Enter your name, date of birth, account number and other details carefully.
  • Using Invalid Documents: Provide authentic and recent KYC documents that align with your form.
  • Missing Signature or Photo: Provide a current photo and sign in the required area.
  • Not Self-Attesting Documents: Sign the required copies of your KYC documents before submitting them.
  • Submitting an Incomplete Form: At the very last step, you have to check all the information again so you do not mistakenly submit an incomplete form.

Processing Time and Confirmation

The online submission via the app or internet banking is typically completed within 24–72 working hours. However, in some cases, the time may be longer due to the verification of physical documents. Once the update is completed, PNB will send out a confirmation message to the registered mobile number of the user and an updated status can also be viewed in the PNB One app.
