Comprehensive General Liability insurance for Stores: Claiming Process
A policyholder may follow the below mentioned steps in order to file a claim under comprehensive general liability policy.
- The policyholder should inform the insurance company with regard to the loss or damage caused to a third party in the business premises
- The policyholder must appraise the insurance company immediately after acknowledgement of such incident
- The policyholder must issue a claim from the insurance company
- The policyholder must fill the claim form correctly
- The policyholder is required to provide the necessary document which might be asked by the insurer
- The insurance company shall appoint a surveyor to investigate the claim
- The investigator shall verify the claim and make a report
- The report shall be submitted to the insurance company
- Based on the report submitted by the investigator or surveyor, the insurance company shall either accept or reject the claim
- The insurance company shall compensate the policyholder upon accepting the claim
