  • Senior citizens get an additional 0.50% p.a. on 180 days and above, and their rates do not apply to NRO and NRE deposits.
  • The Minimum deposit: Rs 1 lakh.
  • Super senior citizens get an additional 0.15% p.a. on tenures of 333, 444, 555, 777 and 999 days, and on PSB Green Earth deposits.

Types of Punjab and Sind Bank FD Schemes

  1. PSB Fixed Deposit Tax Saver Scheme

    • Minimum deposit: Rs 100
    • Lock-in period: 5 years
    • Deposits under PSB Tax saver FD are eligible for a tax deduction of up to Rs 1.5 lakhs per financial year.
  2. PSB Dhan Lakshmi 444 Days

    • Tenure: 444 days
    • Deposit amount: Minimum Rs 500, Maximum Rs 1.99 crore
    • Senior citizens get an additional 0.50% p.a. over the regular citizen rate and Super senior citizens 0.15% p.a. over the senior citizen rate
  3. PSB Fixed Deposit Schemes

    • PSB Senior citizen FD depositors get an additional 0.50% p.a. on tenures of 180 days to 10 years
    • Tenure: 7 days to 10 years
    • Automatic renewal restricted to maturity values below Rs 2 crore
  4. Non-Resident (External) Rupee Account Scheme – NRE Account

    • Nomination facility available
    • Funds in this account are repatriable
  5. Non-Resident Ordinary Rupee Account Scheme (NRO Account)

    • Nomination facility available
    • Funds in this account are not repatriable, except for:
      • Current income
      • Up to USD 1 million per financial year, for permissible purposes
  6. Foreign Currency (Non-Resident) Account Scheme – FCNR (B) Account
