Bajaj Allianz Comprehensive General Liability Insurance: Inclusions

Bajaj Allianz Comprehensive General Liability Insurance policy provides coverage for the following perils:

The insurance policy will provide coverage for bodily injury, however, the bodily injury will be deemed to have taken place when the claimant first consulted a doctor.

The insurance will provide coverage for loss or damage caused to the property, however, the property damage will be deemed to have taken place when it first became obvious.

The insurance policy will provide coverage for the expenses incurred during the claiming process.

Bajaj Allianz Comprehensive General Liability Insurance: Exclusions

The insurance policy does not provide coverage for the following perils:

Fines, penalties (whether civil, criminal or contractual), exemplary damages and treble damages.

Any loss or expense incurred by the insured for loss of withdrawal, inspection, replacement, removal, adjustment, repair, removal or disposal of the insured’s product or work.

Any kind of bodily injury or property damage caused due to asbestiform talc, Urea fromaldehyde, diethylstibesterol (DES), Dioxin and AIDS are not covered

Any kind of bodily injury or property damage caused directly or indirectly, contributed to, by or arising out of:

Toxic, radioactive, explosive, or other hazardous properties of any explosive nuclear assembly or any nuclear component thereof;
Any nuclear reactor, nuclear power station or plant, premises or facilities whatsoever related to or concerned with the production of nuclear energy or the production or handling or storage of nuclear fuel or waste;
Ionising or radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel;
Any other premises or facilities eligible for insurance by any local nuclear pool or association

Any obligation of the insured under disability benefits, workers’ compensation or unemployment compensation law or any other similar law.

Who is Insured under Bajaj Allianz Comprehensive General Liability Insurance?

Persons insured under this insurance policy are as follows:

The insured and the insured’s spouse are covered but only in respect of the conduct of the insured business of which the insured is the sole owner.

If the business is a joint venture or in partnership with anyone then the partners and their spouses are also covered under the policy but only in respect of the conduct of the insured business.

An organization other than a partnership or joint venture, the insured’s executive officers and directors are also insured but only in respect of their duties as the insured’s officers or directors.

The stockholders of such organisations are also insured but only in respect of their liability as stockholders.

Bajaj Allianz Comprehensive General Liability Insurance: Claim Process

In order to raise the claim under this insurance policy, follow the steps given below:

Inform the insurer as soon as the incident takes place

Ask for the claim form, fill it up, sign it and submit it along with the required documents

Tell the insurer about the chronology of events that led to that particular incident

If the insured has received any formal letter or legal notice, share it with the insurer

If any proceeding has been initiated before the court, inform the insurer

Tell the insurer about the estimated loss amount

Once the insurer is satisfied and the incident is covered under the insurance plan then the insurer will initiate the claim settlement process from their end.
