Group Medical Insurance Coverage for Aviation Industry

Group health insurance for Aviation companies provides coverage for the following:

  • Pre & post hospitalisation charges are covered
  • Pre-existing diseases are covered from Day 1.
  • New born baby of an insured employee is covered from the 1st day of the delivery.
  • Concerned Doctor’s fee is covered.
  • Maternity coverage is provided.
  • Room rent charges are covered as per specified in the policy.
  • Domiciliary charges along with day care treatment charges are covered.
  • Extended cover for supplies such as medicines, oxygen, drugs, etc. are covered.
  • Medical tests like radiotherapy and chemotherapy are covered. 

Group Health Plan for Aviation Industry does not Cover

Group health insurance for Aviation firms does not provide coverage for the following:

  • Congenital diseases are not covered.
  • Non-allopathy treatments like Ayurveda and Homeopathy are not covered.
  • Expenses incurred in diseases like AIDS or other related diseases are not covered.
  • Health related complication caused due to abuse of drugs and alcohol is not covered.
  • Several insurers do not provide coverage to the parents of the insured.

Group Medical Insurance for Aviation Industry: Claiming Process

Follow the below mentioned steps to raise cashless claim through third-party administrator for Aviation Industry:

  • Fill in the form at TPA desk after reaching the hospital
  • TPA will tell the insurer for pre-approval
  • Insurer will send the approval with an initial amount that is to be paid by insured.
  • After the treatment the insurer compensate the paid amount as per the terms and conditions.

Follow the below mentioned steps for re-imbursement:

  • Inform the insurance company within 24 hours of hospitalisation
  • Keep all the required documents in handy such as discharge documents and bills
  • Insurer will process the claim
  • Also provide cancelled cheque to begin the process of receiving the claim amount
  • The insurance company will settle the raised claim within 15 days.

Group Health Cover for Aviation Industry: Required Documents

Keep these documents ready as you will have to submit them along with the claim form:

  • Claim form with concerned Doctor’s signature
  • Doctor’s prescription
  • Police report, if any in case of accident
  • FIR, if any
  • Discharge summary with the listed treatments
  • Cash memo
  • Any other documents required by the insurer
