How to Pay Property Tax Online?

To make a property tax payment online on the BBMP property taxes site in Bangalore, do the following:

  • Step 1: Go to the BBMP Property Portal
    When you reach the home page, find the link ‘SAS Property Tax Payment’.
  • Step 2: Enter application number or property ID
    Enter your property ID or application number, then click on ‘Retrieve.’
  • Step 3: Verify ward number and other information
    Confirm that the ward number and other information are correct and click on ‘Confirm.’
  • Step 4: Check basic information
    Your mobile phone number, application number, name, and year of payment will appear on the screen. Verify the information, then click in the box and select ‘Proceed.’
  • Step 5: Check the specifics of your property tax
    Verify that the correct amount is specified, and then select whether you prefer to make a full or half-yearly payment.
  • Step 6: Tax payment
    Choose either ‘Challan Payment' (offline) or ‘Online Payment', select the 'Pay Now' button, and pay property tax through the preferred payment option.

When is the Due Date to Pay Property Tax in Bangalore?

31 March is the deadline to pay the BBMP property tax in Bangalore. Currently, no extensions are allowed. The municipal corporation will notify in case the date changes or is extended.

Non-payment of the BBMP property tax results in a 100% penalty. The penalty is charged once the one-year grace period has expired. Delaying house tax payment even longer can also result in heavier penalties and legal consequences.
