Tata Docomo Offers Free Accidental Insurance Cover 

Tata Docomo, the telecom brand of Tata Teleservices Ltd. (TTSL), has partnered with Edelweiss Tokio Insurance to offer free accidental death insurance benefit of up to Rs 3 lakhs to its prepaid GSM customers in the Mumbai grid. Under this cover, Tata Docomo will pay monetary compensation to the nominee in case of the customer’s sudden accidental death or permanent total disability.

To avail the coverage, a customer has to do a simple recharge of Rs. 107 which will offer a discounted tariff and talk-time benefit along with free accidental insurance for one year. To continue availing the free benefit under this policy, a customer has to make a minimum recharge of Rs 200 every three months.   

As reported by The Business Standard, Tata Docomo also offers additional benefits such as 20% of personal accident claim or actual medical expenses up to Rs 15,000, whichever is less.
