The All India Council for Technical Education was set up in November 1945. It is a government agency working under the Ministry of Education and provides regulatory and promotional activities for technical education in India. The AICTE offers numerous services ranging from institutional approvals, student scholarships, faculty development programs, and grievances redressal system available on their website.
The council manages more than 14,000 approved educational institutions which cater to the needs of about 4 crore students.

All scholarship applications are submitted through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at scholarships.gov.in.
AICTE services are applied for through separate portals depending on the service type. The process for the most-accessed services is as follows.
Applications are made online through the National Scholarship Portal
Go to scholarships.gov.in and initiate New Registration using Aadhaar credentials
Login and make your selection of appropriate AICTE scholarship scheme
Enter required details and upload the necessary documents
Click to submit the online application for institution-based evaluation process
Scholarship amount will be credited to the applicant's bank account via DBT
Institutions have to apply for their respective approvals annually through AICTE portal.

Download APH of Scheme Specific Requirements for 2024-27 period
Submit the application online, along with other documents at documents.aicte-india.org
Make necessary payment of TER Charges towards application
