What is Aasara Pension?
The Aasara Pension Scheme was launched to support vulnerable groups and help them lead a life of dignity. Since its launch, over 44 lakh people across Telangana have benefited. Beneficiaries include widows, single women, people affected by HIV AIDS, the physically disabled, and beedi workers.
Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao formally inaugurated the scheme on 1 October 2014. In February 2025, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced a further revision to pension amounts. The state has allocated ₹12,000 crore in its 2025 budget to fund the scheme.

Step 8: Log in with your registered mobile number and enter the captcha.

Eligibility Criteria of the Aasara Pension Scheme
Who Can Apply

Vulnerable and primitive tribal groups.

Only one family member per household can receive a pension under this scheme.

Households residing in makeshift huts or other informal structures, especially in urban areas.

Who is NOT Eligible
The following households are disqualified from receiving the pension:

Households that own more than 3 acres of wet/irrigated land, or more than 7.5 acres of dry land.

Households with family members employed in government or private sector jobs.

Individuals already receiving a pension under any other government scheme, or a freedom fighter pension.

Owners of four-wheelers or other heavy vehicles.

Households with an annual income above ₹1.5 lakh (rural) or ₹2 lakh (urban).
