Speaking at a post-budget webinar, PM Modi said that Budget 2022 has considered three factors when it comes to the healthcare system in India. They are modern infrastructure & human resource expansion, adoption of modern & futuristic technology and encouraging research.
To realise the ‘One India, One Health’ vision, the government wants to build health infrastructure beyond metro cities, which is only possible by bringing essential health facilities to villages at district and block levels, the prime minister said.
He also said that the government is trying to create skilled health professionals to meet the increased demands. As a result, a higher budget has been allocated to health education as well as human resource development this year.
PM Modi also believes that the creation of skilled health professionals will ensure global access to an affordable and quality healthcare system in India. It will also lead to medical tourism and increase the income opportunities within the country.
