Ayushman Bharat scheme was first introduced in 2018. The motive of this plan was to provide the best medical facilities to the deprived. However, in order to provide employment to the unemployed, Modi Ji also started with Ayushman Mitra job.
Under this National Health Protection Scheme more than 10 Crore vulnerable and poor families i.e. nearly 50 Crore beneficiaries will be provided health cover up to Rs 5 lakh every year. This scheme will help them avail both tertiary and secondary hospitalization cover.
This scheme is a mix of both Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana and the Senior Citizen Health Insurance Scheme.
Ayushman Mitra is a central government initiative under Ayushman Bharat Scheme, in which around 10 lakh Indians will be given jobs during the five years. It will help in giving employment to the unemployed youth.
Nearly 1 lakh youth as Ayushman Mitra will be given jobs directly in private and government hospitals. This will lead to employment generation in our country.
Under the PMJAY scheme, the employed youth will get Rs 15,000 salary per month. In addition to this, after the scheme is implemented, more opportunities will be given for nurses, doctors, technicians, staff, etc.
Also, the Union health ministry has introduced an 'Ask Ayushman' chatbot on WhatsApp. With this AI-enabled assistant, the beneficiaries can seek information on different aspects of the this scheme such as its benefits, features, finding the nearest hospital, the process of making an e-card, sharing feedback, and the process of filing a complaint.
The chatbot has one of the best features that help them to comprehend and respond in English and Hindi languages. It also offers a text-to-speech feature for the users and can be normally used on all major social media platforms.
Not only this, PM-JAY Beneficiaries also get financial cover for coronavirus treatment and testing. The payment for treatment is made in both public and private hospitals by their respective State Governments.
