      What is 'Cashless Everywhere'?

      Cashless Everywhere is a revolutionary initiative that allows you to avail cashless medical treatment at any hospital of your choice. It enables you to avail cashless hospitalization facility under your health insurance policy even if the hospital is not within the insurance company's network. With this customer-friendly initiative, you no longer have to worry about finding a network hospital during a medical emergency and can instead avail cashless treatment at your trusted hospital.

      Access Cashless Treatment at Non-Network Hospitals

      Previously, policyholders could avail cashless treatment only at a network hospital of their insurance company. In case they were admitted to a non-network hospital, the policyholder had to file a reimbursement claim with their insurer after paying the entire hospital bill at the time of discharge. With Anywhere Cashless, you can receive cashless medical treatment at any hospital across the country, regardless of whether it is on your insurer’s network list or not.

      Real-life Example:

      Recently, a Policybazaar customer was hospitalized in a non-network hospital close to home due to an emergency for bronchitis. When the customer contacted us to initiate a reimbursement claim, one of our customer executives suggested a cashless claim under the Cashless Everywhere facility. Eventually, a cashless claim was filed and successfully approved within 24 hours.

      How does Cashless Everywhere Facility Work?

      With the 'Cashless Everywhere' initiative by IRDAI, cashless claims are possible under specific guidelines:

      1. For Planned Treatments:

        The policyholder must inform the insurer at least 48 hours before the hospitalization if there is an elective surgical procedure or planned treatment in a non-empanelled hospital.

      2. For Emergency Treatments:

        In emergency hospitalization, the insurer must be informed within 48 hours of hospital admission to avail of cashless treatment at a non-empanelled hospital.

      How to File a Claim Under Cashless Everywhere?

      Follow the steps below to file a claim under the Cashless Anywhere initiative:

      1. Intimate the Insurer

        Inform the insurer about your planned hospitalization at least 48 hours in advance. Notify the insurance company about your emergency hospitalization within 48 hours.

      2. ID Card Presentation

        Present the insurer-provided ID card during hospitalization for easy identification and claim initiation.

      3. File a Claim Request

        Complete and submit the cashless claim request form to the insurer via email, post, or fax.

      4. Document Submission

        Provide all necessary documents, such as KYC, medical records, and doctor's prescription, for claim processing.

      5. Final Approval

        The insurance company reviews the documents and approves the claim if everything is in order.

      6. Bill Settlement

        Once approved, the insurance company will settle the bills directly with the hospital according to policy coverage.
