Bajaj Allianz Launches ‘Respect Senior Care Rider’ for Elderly People

3 Types of Rider Plans for Senior Citizens

The newly-launched ‘Respect Senior Care Rider’ can be opted by anyone above the age of 50 years with a base Bajaj Allianz health insurance policy. This rider is available in three plan types with varying coverage levels.

Plan 1 provides coverage for planned & emergency ambulance services along with concierge services, such as daily care/ home assistance, travel legal assistance, cyber assistance, etc. On the other hand, Plan 2 provides the coverage available under Plan 1 along with facilities like home nursing care, physiotherapy service at home and teleconsultation for psychological conditions.

However, Plan 3 provides the senior citizen with a fall detection technology-enabled smartwatch that monitors and records body temperature, heart rate, SPO2, etc. and comes with a medicine reminder and SOS facility. The fall detection feature is designed to detect a fall and alert the service provider about it who will send emergency support services to the insured senior citizen.

However, the fall detection technology feature will only be available in select cities initially and will be eventually expanded across the country.
