    LIC Arogya Rakshak is a benefit-based non-linked and non-participating health insurance plan unveiled by the Life Insurance Corporation of India. It is not a comprehensive medical insurance policy as it works only against certain specified health risks. However, it is an individual health insurance plan with regular premium payment modes.     • The entry age for adults is 18-65 years and for children, it ranges from 91 days-20 years
    • The coverage period for principal insurers, spouses, and parents goes up to 80 years, and for children up to 25 years

    Inclusions of LIC Arogya Rakshak Health Insurance Plan

    The inclusions or the coverage benefits under the LIC Arogya Rakshak plan are listed as under:

    • Hospitalization/Surgery Cover-LIC Arogya Rakshak policy pays a Lumpsum amount for expenses incurred during hospitalization and medical surgeries
    • Premium Waiver Benefit-If the insured members need to undergo a surgery falling under Category I / Category II then premium waiver benefit can be availed. It is also available in case of unfortunate death of the policyholder.
    • Ambulance Cover-Even the ambulance expenses required during the treatment are covered under this LIC health plan
    • Auto Sum-up Benefit-To enhance the coverage benefits there is an option to avail of options Auto Sum-up Benefit and No-Claim-Benefit.
    • Rider Benefits-Two rider benefits that you can avail by paying an additional premium include LIC’s Accident Benefit Rider and LIC’s New Term Assurance Rider
    • Tax-saving on the Premium Amount-The premium paid by the policyholder is exempted from tax deduction under Section 80D.

    Exclusions of LIC Arogya Rakshak Health Insurance Plan

    The LIC Arogya Rakshak plan includes the following exclusions for which the claim cannot be filed:

    • Any injury due to war, naval or military operations, participation in riots, etc.
    • Criminal or illegal acts
    • Natural calamities like earthquakes, floods, etc.
    • Self-inflicted injuries or attempted suicide
    • Participation in dangerous sports like racing, scuba diving, bungee jumping
    • Abuse of drugs, alcohol, or intoxicants
    • Congenital conditions
    • Plastic surgery, unless necessary for accidental injury treatment
    • Treatment for STDs like HIV/AIDS is not covered
    • Infertility or sterilization
    • Dental treatment
