Coverage Offered
One can buy Start Young Star Insurance Policy on Individual and Family Floater basis with sum insured options Rs 3 lakh (only on Individual basis) and from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 1 crore. One can either choose a gold plan or a silver plan under this policy based on their requirements.
The following coverage is offered under Star Young Health Insurance applicable to both gold and silver plan:
- In-hospitalization - Room rent, nursing expenses, specialist fees, ICU charges etc. are covered.
- Emergency Road Ambulance Charges- In case of a medical emergency that requires an immediate transfer to the hospital, ambulance charges are covered.
- Pre-hospitalization - Any medical expenses incurred before admission to the hospital are covered up to 60 days before hospitalization
- Post Hospitalization- Medical Expenses incurred up to 90 days after discharge from the hospital are covered.
- Daycare procedures- Any medical procedure that requires hospitalization of less than 24 hours are covered.
- E-medical Opinion- Insured can obtain E- medical opinion from the insurer's panel of experts.
- Cumulative Bonus- For every claim-free year, the insured can claim a cumulative bonus of 20% of the Basic Sum Insured
- Modern Treatments- Several modern-day treatments that require advanced medical procedures are covered, such as Deep Brain Stimulation, Balloon Sinuplasty, Oral Chemotherapy, etc.

- Health Checkups -Expenses related to health check-up is covered per policy period.
- Automatic Restoration of Basic Sum Insured-If the Sum insured limit is exhausted, the insured can avail of the auto-sum restoration benefit for medical expenses except for the modern treatments.
- Additional Sum Insured for RTA- In-patient hospitalization due to a road traffic accident is covered once a policy year is given; the insured was wearing a helmet and was riding a two-wheeler.
- Star Wellness Program- The insured person can avail of rewards through wellness activities and track their healthy lifestyle. The rewards can be used to avail of savings in premium payments.

Cancellation of the Policy
To cancel the Star Young Star Health Insurance policies, one can refer to the following rules:
- The policyholder can cancel the policy within a 15-day free look period, and the amount will be refunded less any expenses incurred by the company or stamp duty charges.
- If the policy is canceled after 15 days, the amount will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
