      Why Should You Buy Insurance?

Here are some of the reasons why buying insurance is a good idea:

      1. Safeguards Hard-Earned Savings

Buying insurance for yourself, your car, bike, or other assets can protect your hard-earned savings from getting exhausted. Whether you fall sick, meet with a car accident or your house is damaged in an earthquake, it incurs a cost that can be massive in some cases. With insurance, your insurer will take care of all expenses, preserving your savings. Moreover, cashless services at hospitals and garages make the claim process easier, with the claims being approved in a couple of hours.

      2. Rescues You During Tough Times

Life keeps throwing difficult situations every now and then. No matter how tough the circumstances are, your insurance company will come to your rescue. So, if your bike is damaged in an accident, you are diagnosed with a chronic disease, or your house has been burgled, your insurance company will compensate you for your losses, allowing you to resonate with millions saying 'Achha Kiya Insurance Liya'.

      3. Financial Saviour in Emergencies

When an unforeseen circumstance, like an emergency hospitalization, car accident or flight cancellation, occurs, it can cause physical and financial discomfort. If you have an insurance policy, your insurer arrives as your financial saviour in these emergency situations, allowing you to focus on getting better and managing other related issues.

      4. Timely Assistance

Insurance companies have a dedicated customer support team that ensures timely emergency assistance to you and your family in times of need. Whether your car has a flat tyre or you have met with an accident, your insurer will be available for assistance round the clock so that you can proudly say Achha Kiya Insurance Liya.

      • Q1. How does health insurance work?

Ans: Health insurance works for a policyholder by paying a regular premium to the insurance company. In exchange for the premium, the insurer promises to pay for the medical expenses incurred by the insured. All you need to do is inform the insurer about your planned or emergency hospitalization before the deadline, and the insurer will pay for your medical bills.
      • Q2. What is cashless health insurance?

Ans: Cashless health insurance refers to the facility of obtaining medical treatment at a hospital without paying upfront. This is because the insurer directly pays the bill amount to the hospital. However, policyholders are required to inform the insurer about their hospitalization on time and obtain pre-authorization to avail cashless treatment.
      • Q3. How does a health insurance claim work?

Ans: To file a health insurance claim, you need to inform the insurance company about your planned and emergency hospitalization on time. In case of cashless hospitalization, a pre-authorization for cashless treatment is required from the insurer. Once approved, obtain the treatment, and the bill amount will be settled between the insurance company and the hospital. In case of reimbursement claims, pay the full hospital bill during discharge and submit all the required documents to the insurer to obtain the claim amount.
      • Q4. Can you pay mediclaim in cash?

Ans: You can pay for your mediclaim policy in cash if you are buying it offline. However, it makes you ineligible to claim tax deductions under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act.
      • Q5. Does health insurance cover pregnancy?

Ans: Yes. Health insurance plans with the maternity benefit cover the medical expenses incurred during pregnancy.
      • Q1. Why do we need motor insurance?

Ans: Motor insurance, like car insurance and bike insurance, covers the insured vehicle against any loss or damages resulting from accidents, thefts, fire and natural/manmade calamities by offering financial assistance. It also compensates for any damages or injuries caused to third parties due to the insured vehicle. Moreover, third party insurance is mandatory under the motor laws of India.
      • Q2. Is motor insurance compulsory?

Ans: As per the motor laws of the country, third party insurance for your car and bike is mandatory.
      • Q3. What is the tenure of motor insurance?

Ans: A motor insurance policy comes with a tenure of 1 year. However, it is mandatory for new cars to buy a third party insurance for a tenure of 3 years.
      • Q4. What type of insurance is motor?

Ans: Motor insurance is a type of general insurance policy that provides financial protection to insured cars, bikes or commercial vehicles against accidents, natural calamities, fire, theft and natural/manmade calamities.
      • Q5. What is zero dep insurance?

Ans: Zero dep insurance refers to a car insurance policy with zero depreciation cover that prevents the value of your vehicle from getting depreciated with time. In other words, it pays for the depreciating value of your vehicle at the time of a claim.
      • Q1. Do you really need travel insurance?

Ans: Uncertainties can occur at any time. Buying travel insurance for your trip safeguards you against any unforeseen situations that may happen during your trip, such as emergency hospitalization, flight cancellations, trip delays, passport loss, baggage loss, personal liability, etc. You just need to buy the travel policy before your trip starts and travel worry-free.
