A health insurance policy with maternity benefits will cover the cost of maternity expenses incurred during hospitalization including the newborn child.
You can also find numerous health insurance plans with women-specific optional covers on Policybazaar. Industry experts recommend women to consider women-specific health insurance options with critical illness cover like treatment and screening for Breast cancer, Ovarian Cancer, Osteoporosis, Cervical Cancer Screening, etc.
