The New India Arogya Sanjeevani Health Insurance offers the following coverage:
- Pre-hospitalization Cover - Under the plan mentioned earlier, the person insured gets 30 days coverage from the date of hospitalization before being admitted to the hospital.
- In-patient Treatment- The policyholder provides coverage against in-patient hospitalization, which can be up to a maximum sum insured, i.e., Rs 5 lakh.
- Post-hospitalization Cover - Under the plan mentioned above, the person insured gets 60 days coverage from the date of hospitalization after being admitted to the hospital.
- Medical Coverage- The cost of blood, anesthesia, drugs, diagnostic imaging modalities, medicines, diagnostics costs, surgical appliances, oxygen, operation theatre charges, and others are covered in the New India Arogya Sanjeevani
- Fees Covered- Consultants, Anaesthetists, Specialists, Medical Practitioner, and Surgeons are covered by the insurer.
Inclusions of New India Arogya Sanjeevani Plan
Inclusions of New India Arogya Sanjeevani Insurance Policy are as follows:
- Daily Room Rent- The plan provides coverage against the daily hospital room rent, which is up to a 2% of the sum insured maximum up to a limit of Rs 5000 per day. Boarding and nursing expenditures are inclusive of room rent cover.
- Co-payment - Under this policy, there is a co-payment of 5% on the total by the policyholder per hospitalization.
- ICU Charges - The policy provides coverage against ICU expenses, which is up to Rs 10,000 per day or a maximum of 5% on the sum insured.
- Cumulative Bonus- For every claim-free year, the New India Health Insurance provides a cumulative bonus of 5%, which can be up to a maximum of 50%.

- Any kind of substance abuse and hospitalization due to the same or curing any additive condition
- Domiciliary Hospitalization
- Expenses related to evaluation
- Expenditures related to diagnosis
- Gender change treatment
- Maternity expenditures
- Nuclear, chemical or biological attack or weapons in a war
- OPD Treatment
- Plastic or cosmetic surgery
- Purchasing of dietary supplements
- Participation in hazardous activities or breach of law
- Rehabilitation, rest cure and respite care
- Treatment outside India
- Weight control or obesity through surgical treatment
- Unknown treatment

- AYUSH Benefits- The policy provides coverage against the treatment cost against AYUSH benefits, i.e., non-allopathic treatments like Unani, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Siddha, etc.
- Cataract- There is an option under which the plan covers the lower of the below:-
- 25% of the sum assured or
- Up to Rs 40,000 for cataract treatment of each eye.
- Day Care Treatment- The plan covers daycare treatment in which the person insured is hospitalized for less than 24 hours.
- Dental Treatment - In case of any dental surgery due to illness or injury, the plan covers dental treatment.
- Emergency Hospitalization- New India Arogya Sanjeevani Health Insurance provides coverage against road ambulance costs for emergency hospitalization. It offers coverage up to Rs 2000 for every hospitalization.
- Tax Benefits- Under Section 80 D of Income Tax Act, 1961, the policyholder can avail of the premiums paid.

Cancellation of Policy

But the person insured gets all the premiums paid in return after deducting stamp charges and taxes. But no claims should be made in the free-look period.
