    Coverage Offered

    The Bharti AXA Smart Super Health Insurance plan has Sum Insured options from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 1 cr. The essentials that are covered are as follows:

    • In-patient Treatment: This covers reasonable hospitalization expenditure incurred during the treatment of diseases/illness/injury.
    • Pre-hospitalization: Covers relevant expenses before hospitalization/day-care treatment for up to 60 days.
    • Post-hospitalization: Covers medical expenditure up to 90 days after hospital discharge/day-car treatment for continuous and follow-up treatment.
    • Organ Donor: Covers expenses for the hospitalization and treatment of the donor for organ donation
    • Day Care Medical Treatment: Coverage provided for any procedures conducted under general/local anesthesia, and that take less than 24 hours.
    • AYUSH: For in-patient treatment under Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Yoga, Siddha, Unani, and Homeopathy in any government hospital or recognized institute.
    • Domiciliary Hospitalization: For treatment undertaken in the insured's house because certain conditions (specified in the policy wordings) where hospitalization is not possible.

    Inclusions of the Policy

    Based on the selected Bharti AXA Smart Super Health Insurance Plan, the following provisions are included:

    • Yearly health check-ups
    • Restoration of the Sum Insured up to 100%
    • Surface ambulance charges for an emergency: Rs 3,000 per event
    • Benefit for convalescence
    • OPD emergency treatment for accidents, as well as dental emergencies
    • Inoculation for an animal bite
    • Domestic air ambulance (only once in a policy year per life)
    • Maternity Benefit: Within the 9-months waiting period and for the first 2 deliveries
    • Newborn babies: First 90 days
    • Lump-sum benefit for severe illnesses: Over and above the Sum Insured.

    All these expenses are covered as per the specified limit and the chosen plan.

    Exclusions of the Policy

    This particular Bharti AXA Health Insurance does not provide coverage in the following circumstances and when the following waiting periods are underway:

    • The initial waiting period of 30 days
    • After 48 months, pre-existing diseases will be covered.
    • 24 months for specific diseases/procedures/surgeries/illnesses
    • The initial waiting period of 30 days for all illnesses except accidents
    • Maternity-related expenditure
    • For critical illnesses, the waiting period is 60 days and 30 days survival period.
    • Internal congenital anomalies treatment before 48 months
    • Any Genetic disorders before 48 months
    • War or war-like situation or invasion, riots, or terrorist activities,
    • Disease/injury/illness that is the result of performing duties as a member of the armed forces
    • Injury/illness resulting from any unlawful or criminal activity

    • A Free Look Period (15 days) for the insured to review the terms and policies of the insurance
    • The Bharti Axa Smart Super Health Insurance Policy allows the insured to save tax under section 80D of the income tax act, 1961.

    Information on Cancellation of the Policy

    For canceling the policy, the insured can give 15 days' notice in writing to the insurance company. From the date of receipt, the organization will cancel the policy and keep the premium for the period this policy has been in force at the Company's short period scales (stated in the policy brochure).
