Process to check the Policy Status Online

The online checking option allows the user to know about the policy on the company's official website using the internet. The only thing that the customer needs to do is to enter the correct login credentials.  

Customers can open the official Aegon Life Insurance website and follow the steps below:

  1. Existing Customers

    When the existing customer needs to know about the policy in Aegon Life, follow the steps below:

    Step 1: Open the official website of Aegon Life.

    Step 2: Choose the sign-in option.

    Step 3: Enter the user id or the registered email id and the password.

    Step 4: Click on the sign-in.

    If the credentials entered are valid, the customer will be re-directed to a page containing all the information regarding the customer's policy.

    User Forgets User ID

    When the user forgets their id or the registered email id, Aegon Life provides an alternate option. The steps are as follows:

    Step 1: On the same page, there is an option to enter the policy number and date of birth. Do the same. 

    Step 2: Enter the date on which policy is issued or the nominee's name in the respective space provided on the page.

    Step 3: Now, click on sign in.

    Step 4: If the entered details are correct, the policy status can be viewed on the portal. 

    User Forgets the Password

    There are situations in which the user may forget the password. In that situation, these steps are to be followed,

    Step 1: Click on Forget the Password.

    Step 2: It will be re-directed to a page where the customer is asked to enter the policy number and birth date.

    Step 3: When the 'Get Details' button is pressed, the user can view the policy status.

  2. New Customers

    When the user visits the website for the first time, he needs to register with the Aegon Life website.

    Step 1: First, the customer needs to enter the policy details such as policy number, date of birth, and the date on which the policy is issued.

    Step 2: When the Proceed button is entered, the user will be asked to fill in the login details where users can set their user id and password.

    Step 3: Once the registration is completed, the user can use his credentials to check his policy status. 

How to Check Aegon Life Insurance Policy Status on Policybazaar?

The policyholders will have to follow the steps mentioned below to check their Aegon Life Insurance Policy Status on Policybazaar:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Policybazaar Brokers Private Limited. On the top right, click on the ‘Sign in’ tab.

Step 2: Enter your registered phone number and the OTP received on the same. 

Step 3: You will be redirected to the dashboard. Choose the policy tab, here you can check the status of all the insurance policies you have.

How to Check the Status Offline?

When the user feels the need to have a manual interaction with the Aegon Life advisors, they can visit the nearest branch and seek help. Aegon Life also provides customers with an option to locate the nearest branch using the branch locator service that is available on the official website. With the help of that option, the user can locate the nearest branch. The customer also needs to carry the documents related to their policy and proof of identity. They will be assisted with all kinds of information that they need about the policy.

Customers are also provided with other options to check on the policy status as well. They can either call or mail to Aegon Life customer care.

  1. Call

    Users can contact Aegon Life customer care at 1800-209-9090 to know about their policy status. The customers will be asked to give their policy details such as policy number and the date on which the policy is issued. The customer care representative will provide the details that the user needs or will be directed by IVR only if the given details are true. According to IST, the customer care service will be operated from 9 am to 7 pm and from Monday to Saturday. 

  2. SMS

    Customers can even send <STATUS> code relevant to the service by SMS to 9221010101 to know about their policy status.

  3. Email

    Aegon Life provides its customers with an option to check the policy status via email. The customer can drop a mail at customer.care[at]aegonlife.com along with the policy details. They will send an email regarding the Aegon policy status.

  • Do I have an option to change my communication address in the policy?

    A1. Yes, in online policy, a copy of the new address proof is to be sent as mail from the registered email id. In the case of offline policy, a copy of the new self-attested address proof has to be mailed. 
  • Can I appoint a minor as my nominee?

    A2. Yes, you can add a minor as your nominee. But, you need to keep an appointee for the minor.
  • Where can I see my application form?

    A3. When you are done with the payments, you can see your application form on the dashboard. An email will also be sent to the registered id that includes payment receipt attachments, proposal form, and benefits.
  • Is there a way to update my PAN?

    A4. With online policy, email has to be sent from the registered email id with a PAN card copy. With offline policy, a self-attested copy of the PAN card has to be sent with a request.
  • How many days will it take to get my policy documents?

    A5. When the policy is purchased, and the required documents are submitted, then it will take nearly 7 to 10 working days. You will receive an email confirmation, and 48 hrs from that, you will receive the soft copy of your document.
  • Is it safe to make online payments with Aegon Life?

    A6. Aegon Life protects all the transactions by Secured Socket Layer technology. Hence it is absolutely safe to make online payments. Aegon Life will never get a backup of the Debit and Credit cards or Internet banking information provided by the customer. 
  • Is there an option to change my User Id?

    A7. No, you can't change the user id. Once it is given, it can't be changed.
  • How can I change my nominee details?

    A8. An email has to be sent with the request to customer.care@aegonlife[dot]com, or you can contact the customer care number regarding the changes.
  • How can the review period be beneficial?

    A9. In the review period, you can reconsider the policy. You have an option to cancel the policy if you are not satisfied. The premium will be refunded, excluding the medical charges and the stamp duty.
