How to File PNB MetLife Term Insurance Claim 

The PNB MetLife Term Insurance policies offer financial protection to you and your dear ones in case of any unforeseen event such as disability or death with the policyholder. It is recommended that the individuals should buy term insurance policies of such insurance providers which offer a high CSR with a hassle-free documentation process. Steps Involved in PNB MetLife Term Insurance Claim Process

  1. Step1: Apply Claim 

    The nominee should inform about the claim to the insurer as soon as possible in written form. The information required during the claim intimation process includes the insured’s name, policy number, place of death, death date, claimant’s name, etc. The nominee can get the claim intimation application by visiting the nearest insurer’s branch or can also download it from the official website of PNB MetLife. Nominee can intimate claim by following ways: 

    • File a claim online: The nominee can file a claim online by visiting the PNB MetLife Insurance official website. Go to the ‘Claim Settlement’ section and then click on the ‘claim intimate’ tab. 

    • Nominee can also file intimation via email at claimshelpdesk@pnbmetlife.com 

    • Send a letter: Intimate about claim request via post 

    • khUshi App: Nominee can also file a request for a claim using khUshi app. It is a self-service mobile application that guides you through every step. 

    • Call on their toll-free helpline number 1800-425-6969

  2. Step2: Documents Submission 

    Once the company receives the claim intimation, a nominee is required to submit the requested documents for the assessment process of the claim. Also, if additional documents are needed for further investigation, you will have to furnish them as well to the insurer. 

  3. Step3: Claim Payout 

    • Receipt of Documents: In case of receiving all the documents by PNB MetLife, you will be informed. Then, the claim assistance team will start the process of claims decisions. 

    • Assessment and Investigation of claim: After the assessment of all the information provided, the claim will be processed within 30 days from the receipt of the documents in all situations where further investigation is not required. In case of any pendency or irregularities in claim intimation information and forms, the company will be required to investigate the claim. In such situations, the investigation will be finished within 90 days from the receipt of the document. 

    • Decision and settlement of claim: The claim settlement shall be done within 30 days from completing the assessment and examination. The company will now commence the payout process.

  • What is the procedure of death claim filing, if death occurs in a foreign country? 

    Documents required are the same as required at the time of death in India. The certificate of death needs to be attested by the Indian embassy of the residential country.
