Do I Need a Hard Copy of the Zuno Two-Wheeler Insurance Policy?

Yes, you would need a hard copy of your two-wheeler insurance policy. Whether you obtain the soft copy via the Edelweiss Bike Insurance PDF Download link or a hard copy from the company itself, the person must always carry the document with them when driving the insured vehicle.

As per the Indian Motor Tariff Act, two-wheeler owners must carry their vehicle insurance copy while riding it. Failing to do so, the owner could reward a penalty of INR 2,000 or/and imprisonment for up to 3 years.

The IRDA (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India) has introduced a new service called the e-Vahan Bima that eliminates the necessity to carry the original policy document while riding. Instead, the policy is made available in a digitized format along with a QR Code, that when scanned, provides all of the information regarding the policy.

Even if needed, one can still obtain the policy online by contacting the insurance agent and asking him for a soft copy and/or a hard copy.
