      One has to fulfil the following eligibility conditions to buy this policy:

      Children – 91 days (inclusive of parental coverage); covered till 25 years of age

      Adults – 18 years

      Coverage Offered

      To buy Reliance Health Insurance on EMI, one can go for either Individual or Family Floater options with a sum insured options ranging from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 18 lakh.

      The coverage provided for the above options are as follows -

      • In-patient Treatment - Expenses for Illnesses or injuries requiring minimum 24 hours of hospitalization upon the registered medical practitioner's advice are covered.
      • Day care Treatment- Procedures requiring less than 24 hours of hospital stay undertaken after medical advice are covered.
      • If the coverage is for the same ailment as treated -
      • Pre-hospitalization-Expenses covered up to 60 days prior to hospitalization.
      • Post-hospitalization-Charges incurred up to 60 days following discharge.
      • Donor coverage- For organ transplant, the donor's expenses are financed up to 50% of the sum insured (maximum of Rs 5 lakhs).

      Inclusions of the Policy

      In addition to the policy coverage, Reliance Health Insurance on EMI insurance policy includes the following:

      • Domestic Ambulance- For medical emergencies, ambulance transportation is financed to the nearest hospital. The coverage depends on the sum insured.
      • Critical Illness Extension-In case the insured is diagnosed with a critical illness for the first time, the policy is extended for a period of one year. The following illnesses are considered -
      • Cancer of specific grade
      • Heart ailment resulting in a bypass
      • Stroke with permanent effects (brain clot, neurological damage, etc.)
      • Multiple sclerosis with persisting symptoms

      Exclusions of the Policy

      Exclusions under Reliance Health Insurance on EMI are:

      • Dental or cosmetic surgery or such treatment
      • Treatment for mental illnesses, sleep disorders, obesity
      • HIV/AIDS and STDs
      • Therapy is undertaken outside India.
      • Robotic or stem cell therapy
      • Ailments due to war, rioting, or nuclear radiation, self-injury, alcohol and drugs
      • Congenital and Genetic disorders
      • Pregnancy, infertility treatment, hormone therapy
      • Contact lenses, hearing aids, and prescription eyewear
      • Vaccination and life-support system
      • Injury due to sports and mountaineering activities, etc.

      The features and benefits of Reliance Health Insurance on EMI insurance policy:

      • Waiting Period-
      • Any conditions occurring within the first 30 days of policy commencement
      • Two years for joint and vertebral ailments, ENT disorders, cataract, tumors, kidney stones
      • Domiciliary hospitalization financed for up to 10% of the sum insured (maximum of Rs 50,000)
      • A cumulative savings of 15% (5% for girls and single women + 5% family savings if each member purchases individual policy + 5% savings for policyholders of Reliance Car Insurance)
      • Premium payment through EMIs (monthly or quarterly) for affordability and ease in investment
      • Wellness benefits (helpline with doctor and access to health portal)
      • One-time sum insured restoration after exhaustion of base amount and bonuses
      • Lifelong renewability, with no specific exit age
      • Cashless claims to be availed at more than 7300 network hospitals
      • Tax benefits offered under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act, 1961

      Cancellation of Reliance Health Insurance on EMI policy occurs under the following conditions:

      • The free look period of 15 days offers an option to the insured to return the policy. This results in cancellation.
      • Non-disclosure of facts affecting policy terms leads to cancellation by the insurer.
