Tata AIG Hospital Cash insurance policy is a health insurance plan by Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited that offers additional protection to cover day-to-day hospital expenses, such as food, travel, etc. It offers financial coverage for incidental hospitalization expenses that are mostly not covered by a regular health insurance plan.
Tata AIG Hospital Cash policy provides a daily hospital cash benefit or allowance to the policyholder for each day he/she is hospitalized due to an injury or an illness. In addition, this Individual Accident & Sickness Hospital Cash policy also reimburses the medical expenses incurred during the treatment of an accidental injury.
The Tata AIG Individual Accident & Sickness Hospital Cash policy comes in five levels. Under the Accidental Hospital Cash, a daily hospital cash benefit of Rs 1000 to Rs 10,000 is offered depending on the chosen level. Similarly, the Sickness Hospital Cash offers a daily benefit ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 5000 depending on the level. Moreover, the sum insured for Accident Medical Reimbursement ranges from Rs 5000 to Rs 25,000 depending on the opted level. A person can opt for any policy level based on his/her health requirements.
However, the Tata AIG Hospital cash policy comes with certain deductibles that are applicable at the time of raising a claim.

The Individual Accident & Sickness Hospital Cash policy can cover your spouse and your dependent children apart from yourself under the family floater cover. However, the policy will extend coverage for only a maximum of two dependent children.
Yes. You can raise a claim for getting hospitalized for the same disease/injury twice provided both periods of hospitalization is separated by at least 45 days.
The Tata AIG Individual Accident & Sickness Hospital cash policy comes with an initial waiting period of 90 days for hospitalization due to sickness.
Yes. You can cancel your Tata AIG Hospital Cash policy within the free-look period or the first 15 days of policy commencement without paying any cancellation fee. But after the free-look period, a cancellation fee may apply if you decide to cancel your policy.
