    • A compulsory deductible has to be chosen by the policyholder.
    • Ambulance charges of Rs 3000 are allowed per claim or actual expenses whichever is less.

    Policy Details

    Minimum sum insured –Rs 2, 00,000

    Maximum sum insured –Rs 25, 00,000

    • Coverage: Self, spouse and 2 dependent children above 3 months.
    • Policy period: This policy is valid for 1 year and after one year the insured has to renew the policy
    • Deductible: Deductible is the amount borne by the insured. There are two plans available for deductible .One is top up and another one is super top up. In case of top up deductible will be calculated per claim and in super top up deductible will be applied once for all the claims made in a year.In case you lose your employment or change your employment for 30/60/90 days, you can enjoy the full sum insured coverage without any deductible.
    • Portability: You can switch from one insurer to another and transfer the benefits that you have gained over the year. This should be done as per IRDA guidelines.

    Documents Required

    The proposer has to fill an application form to buy this policy. Insurance company can ask the proposer to submit his past medical history.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Proposer has to be in the age slab of 18 years to 65 years. Dependent children must be above 3 months.

    Renewable age: This policy is renewable without any restriction on the age limit but there should not be any break in the policy.

    Inclusions

    • It provides coverage for pre and post hospitalization expenses.
    • Homeopathy or ayurvedic treatment arising out of any unfortunate event is covered.
    • Expenses on tonics and vitamins are covered if it is a part of treatment.

    Exclusions

    • Any expense arising out of (diseases like hernia, cataract, joint replacement etc.) for the first two years is not covered.
    • Expense of spectacles, hearing aids is not covered.
    • Dental treatment is not covered except arising out of an accident.
    • Maternity expenses are not covered.
