Listed below are the common steps that a policyholder can follow to track the status of their national medical insurance policies online:
Step 1- Visit the official website of National Health Insurance Company Limited and Scroll down
Step 2- On the home page, you will find three different tabs like Motor, Health, Miscellaneous, etc. Here you have to click on the ‘Health’ Tab
Step 3- Once you click on the button, three options will emerge on your screen – Buy Policy, Renew Policy, FAQ. Do not select but scroll down further
Step 4- On the right side of the main page it will display ‘Track Claim Status’
Step 5- Another step is to select’ Click Here to track your claim status’
Step 6- It will lead you to another page i.e. your National Health Insurance Claim Status page with Heading ‘Track Claim
Step 7- Below Search Claim Details, you need to enter a few important credentials/details like your National Health Insurance Customer ID, Claim Number given by the insurer, National Health Insurance Policy Number, and the date of loss
Step 8- Once the details are correctly entered, enter the ‘Captcha Code’ and enter ‘Submit’. In case the information is wrong and you need to fill it again, then you can click on the ‘Clear Button’ as given below the ‘Submit Button’

Those who are not able to use the online method to track their health insurance policy claim status may use the following methods to know the status of your policy:
Contact the Insurer through Email or Phone- You can call the insurer’s customer service department or call the Policybazaar’s health experts to get an update on your mediclaim policy status. In your email do mention your health insurance policy number and your concern in detail. You can also write to the insurer and you will get a call or email reverts to address your query.
Visit the Branch- Well, nowadays this is not a common practice among the customers for tracking their claim status, you may still want to visit the Insurer’s branch office and get an update on your policy claim status. To find the nearest branch office you can check the branch offices on the homepage and find the National Insurance Company’s branch office that is located nearest to your place, city, or locality.
When visiting their office do carry your policy documents with you.
SMS Alerts- You can also get your policy details through the SMS service. To know the policy claim status, you may send an SMS to the given number. Similarly, the SMS service can be used to get other details such as premiums, policy details, etc.
