    Key Features of Universal Sompo Sampurna Suraksha Bima

    • The policy consists of 4 sections consisting of health cover, fire allied perils, burglary/ robbery and personal accidents.
    • Entry age of proposer is 18 to 65 years.
    • In case child gets married, the child will not be covered for next renewal.
    • If actual value of assets insured under this policy at time of loss be collectively greater than sum insured, than you will be considered as being your own insurer for the difference.
    • Claims under this policy shall be paid within 7 working days.
    • The policy can be renewed till the age of 80 years

    • Compensation towards education fund for up to two dependent children (2.5% per child).
    • 2% capital sum insured in the event of accident leading to loss of employment.
    • 25% sum insured per injury/illness for surgeon, anesthetist, nursing expenses.
    • 40% sum insured per injury/ illness for blood, oxygen, surgical appliances, diagnostic materials etc.
    • Up to 2% sum insured if admitted in IC unit.
    • Worldwide geographical eligibility for protection against personal accidents.

    Universal Sompo Sampurna Suraksha Bima Plan at a glance

    • Renewal- The policy is ordinarily renewable till 80 years of age except on grounds of fraud, moral hazard or misrepresentation.
    • Cancellation- You may cancel this policy by sending a written notice to us. Retention premium for the period will be calculated bases on following short period table and the balance will be refunded

    • Continuity- In case company decides to withdraw Sampoorna Suraksha Bima Policy, option shall be available to migrate to nearest substitute product.
    • Claim Payment- all claims under the policy shall be paid within 7 working days from date of acceptance. In case of delay the company is liable to pay interest at a rate which is 2% above bank rate.
    • Discount- if coverage for more than one section is opted under the policy, sectional discounts can be provided:

    Inclusions in Sampurna Suraksha Bima by Universal Sompo

    • The policy covers pre and post hospitalization expenses for 30 and 60 days respectively. 
    • Emergency ambulance charges of Rs. 1000 per hospitalization.
    • Daily allowance of 1% of sum insured or Rs 250 whichever is less for each continuous and completed period of 24 hours of Hospitalization.

    Exclusions in Sampurna Suraksha Bima by Universal Sompo

    • Hospitalization expenses arising from all diseases which are in pre-existing condition.
    • Hospitalization expenses for any disease which incepts during first 30 days of commencement of insurance cover.
    • Any illness or disease contracted due to intake of alcohol or other addictive substances will not be covered.
    • Injury or diseases caused by war, invasion, act of foreign enemy.
    • Expenses on voluntary termination of pregnancy within first 12 weeks.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Entry age for the policyholder, spouse and parents is 18 years to 65 years with renewal option up to 80 years. Children from 91 days to 25 years can also be covered if any one parent is insured under the policy. Unmarried children can also be covered up to maximum age of 25 years only.
