Third Party Liabilities - Universal Sompo Comprehensive bike insurance covers the legal liabilities of the policyholder against property damages, bodily injuries, disability, or the unfortunate demise of a third party as a result of an accident caused by the insured bike.

Own Damages - Comprehensive bike insurance also provides coverage for any damages sustained by the insured two-wheeler. The repair and maintenance of the bike will be covered in case of unforeseen events like natural calamities, fire, theft, manmade calamity or an accident.

Personal Accident Cover– It provides compensation in case of bodily injuries or the death of the bike’s owner resulting from an accident.

What is Not Covered under the Universal Sompo Comprehensive Bike Insurance Plan?

Universal Sompo comprehensive bike insurance plan does not provide coverage in the following cases:

  • Normal Wear & Tear- Minor repair expenses due to normal wear and tear of the bike is not covered.
  • Illegal Driving- Accidents caused while driving without a valid driver’s license is excluded.
  • Electrical Breakdown– Expenses incurred due to the electrical breakdown of the two-wheeler is not covered.
  • Rider’s Negligence- Accident due to negligence or carelessness of the rider is excluded
  • Drunk Driving- Driving under the influence of intoxicating drugs or alcohol are not covered
  • Illegal Use- Accidents caused while using the bike for illegal or unlawful activity is excluded
  • Geographical Limit- If the mishap or accident occurs outside the geographical limit, it is not covered.
