Objectives of CBSE Result Declaration

The CBSE result process is structured to ensure transparency and accessibility for all students across India and abroad.

  • Offer students standardised performance marks from all affiliated schools

  • Make available mark sheets, marks, and CGPA on several official portals at once

  • Ensure that the post-results process is fair and includes verification and compartmentalisation, among others

Features of CBSE Results 2026

Grading of students by the CBSE on a nine point scale in Class 10 and Class 12 respectively. The table below gives all important information about results of both classes.

CBSE Result Eligibility Criteria

There is no requirement for the CBSE result criteria to be met by only specific groups of people. The important eligibility criteria are as under.

How to Check CBSE Results 2026

CBSE provides multiple official platforms to access results. The stepwise procedure to check the results online is as follows:

  • Go to the official result portal cbseresults.nic.in or cbse.gov.in

  • Click the link to the relevant result: Class 10 or Class 12

  • Date Of Birth Roll Number Admit Card ID School Number

  • Click Submit to see your results

  • Download and save a copy to refer to later.

CBSE Results 2026 on DigiLocker Website & App

Students can check their result and saved it on digilocker as well:

  • Visit digilocker.gov.in or open the DigiLocker app on your smartphone

  • Sign in or create an account using your mobile number verified via OTP

  • Look for the CBSE results option under the "Class X / Class XII Marksheet" or the results banner on the homepage

  • Enter your 6-digit school-issued access code along with your roll number and date of birth when prompted

  • Your digital marksheet will appear on the screen once the details are verified

  • Download or save the marksheet, which is a valid digital document for future reference

CBSE Results 2026 through IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System)

Students can check their results through IVRS:

  • Dial the designated CBSE result helpline number from your registered mobile phone

  • Listen to the voice prompts and select the language of your choice

  • Choose the option for Class 10 or Class 12 results when prompted

  • Enter your roll number, admit card ID, and date of birth using your phone's keypad when asked

  • The system will read out your result details, including subject-wise marks and overall status

  • Note down the details or ask for a repeat if needed, since no downloadable copy is provided through this method

CBSE Results 2026 via SMS

Students can check their results via SMS by following these simple steps:

  • Open the messaging app on your mobile phone

  • Type the message in the prescribed format specified by CBSE, typically including your roll number and other required identifiers

  • Send the message to 7738299899

  • Wait for a reply SMS, which will contain your result summary

  • Save the reply message for reference, since it serves as a quick, low-data way to check your result without internet access

CBSE Results 2026 on UMANG App & Portal:

Students can check their CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 result through UMANG App and Portal besides cbseresults.nic.in, DigiLocker and SMS.

  • Download the UMANG app from Google Play Store and Apple App Store or visit web.umang.gov.in.

  • Register yourself or login with your mobile number authenticated by OTP Type ‘CBSE’ in the search bar

  • Select Class 10 or Class 12 Result under the CBSE Services tab

  • Roll Number, School Number, Admit Card Number, Date of Birth

  • Submit button to get your result scorecard along with marks of subject

  • Download or save a copy of the digital marksheet for future reference.

Documents Required

After declaration of result students need some specific documents for specific purposes like confirmation, revaluation, etc. The preparation of all the necessary documents in advance will help to avoid any kind of delay when it comes to critical times.

  • CBSE admit card containing roll number, admit card ID, and center number

  • Mobile number registered with the Board (for DigiLocker OTP verification)

  • DigiLocker login code issued by school (a 6-digit code)

  • Date of Birth (as per CBSE record)

  • Payment details may be required for verification, re-evaluation, or answer sheet photocopy requests through the official CBSE portal.
