      What is Covered Under Dengue Health Insurance?

      A dengue health insurance policy provides coverage for the following expenses:

      • In-patient hospitalization expenses, inclusive of room rent, transfusion charges, ICU charges, etc.
      • Pre-hospitalization and post-hospitalization expenses are covered for 15 days.
      • Coverage for diagnostic tests incurred before or during hospitalization.
      • Doctor consultation fees incurred pre, post or during hospitalization.
      • Pharmacy expenses incurred pre, post or during hospitalization.
      • Outpatient expenses, inclusive of OPD consultation & treatment expenses, charges for diagnostic treatment, pharmacy expenses and home nursing.

      What is not Covered Under Dengue Health Insurance?

      The following expenses are not covered under a dengue health insurance policy in India:

      • Treatment cost of any disease other than dengue
      • A initial waiting period of 15 or 30 days may apply
      • Cost of any treatment or medicine that is not required to cure dengue fever
      • Treatment taken by unauthorized people
      • Cost of dengue treatment taken outside India
