    1. New India Floater Mediclaim Policy

    If an insured person gets diagnosed with a critical illness during the policy term the insurer pays off 10% of the sum insured as an extra benefit in addition to the admissible claim. Check out the critical illness list under this plan:

    • Cancer
    • Open chest CABG
    • Heart attack of listed severity
    • Coma
    • Paralysis of limbs ( permanent)
    • Open Heart replacement
    • Major organ/bone marrow transplant
    • Kidney failure leading to dialysis
    • Stroke
    • Motor neurone disease
    • Multiple sclerosis

    The coverage benefits will be provided for hospitalization of more than 24 hours.

    2. New India Cancer Mediclaim Policy

    This critical illness policy by New India Assurance health insurance offers health cover for Cancer treatment. Any person who ages lesser than 70 years who have not been diagnosed with cancer or is not a possible cancer case can get insured under this critical illness plan. The insurer pays for various malignant conditions such as:

    • Malignant neoplasm of pharynx/ buccal cavity
    • Peritoneum and malignant neoplasm of digestive organs  
    • Malignant Neoplasm of breast/respiratory system/skin/bone/connective tissue

    The policy shall cover expenses incurred on Cancer treatment including inpatient/outpatient and daycare procedures. The policy shall cover the following conventional and advanced treatment costs as a part of the treatment:

    1. Radiotherapy

    2. Chemotherapy

    3. Proton Treatment

    4. Organ transplant required for Cancer treatment

    5. Onco-surgery

    6. Personalized/targeted therapy

    7. Hormonal Therapy

    8. Stem cell transplantation

    9. Immunotherapy

    10. Bone marrow transplantation

    Terms and Conditions

    If during the policy period, any Insured Person is diagnosed with Cancer for the first time and is in Stage IV or Advanced Metastatic Cancer, the New India Assurance Co. Ltd. will pay off 50% of the sum insured as Critical Care Benefit in addition to the permissible claim amount.

    The insured gets Cancer Care Benefit only once in the life during the policy term. Those with pre-existing diseases cannot get covered under this critical illness policy. Each payment made under this clause would be in addition to the policy coverage amount.
