Types of Care Secure Personal Accident Insurance Plan
The Care Secure Personal Accident Insurance plan comes in six types:
- Secure 1 – This variant is available for a sum insured of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
- Secure 2 – This plan comes with a sum insured of above Rs 10 lakh to Rs 30 lakh.
- Secure 3 – This variant offers a sum insured of more than Rs 30 lakh to Rs 3 crore.
- Secure 4 – This plan is available for a sum insured of above Rs 3 crore to Rs 25 crore.
- Secure 5 – This variant comes with a sum insured of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 30 lakh.
- Secure 6 – This plan offers a sum insured ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 25 crore.
What is Covered by Care Secure Personal Accident Insurance Plan?
The following coverage is available under the Care Secure Personal Accident Insurance plan:
- Accidental Death – It pays the sum insured amount to the nominated family member in case the insured dies in an accident.
- Permanent Total Disablement – It pays a pre-defined amount to the insured in case he/she suffers from permanent total disablement due to an accident.
- Permanent Partial Disablement – It pays the insured with a pre-defined amount in case he/she meets with an accident and ends up suffering from permanent partial disablement.
- Fractures – It covers the medical expenses incurred on the treatment of a fracture resulting from an accidental injury.
- Child Education – It pays for the education of the insured person’s child in case he/she dies in an accident or suffers from permanent total disablement.
- Major Diagnostic Tests – It covers the cost of major diagnostic tests, such as MRIs, CT scans, etc., in case the insured needs to undertake them after an accident.
- Disappearance – It pays the sum insured amount to the nominee in case he/she went missing after a mishap with his/her common carrier and has been untraceable for one year.
- Mobility Cover – It covers the cost of medically necessary prosthetic devices, orthopaedic braces and medical equipments in case the insured suffers from permanent total disablement after an accident.
- Burns – It covers the cost of surgery required for treating a burn injury resulting from an accident.
- Domestic Road Ambulance – It covers the medical expenses incurred on availing domestic road ambulance services after the insured meets with an accident.
- Nursing Care – It pays for the cost of availing services of a nurse for care and convenience of the insured who got permanently disabled in an accident.
- Reconstructive Surgery – It covers the cost of a reconstructive surgery required as a result of an accidental injury.
- Repatriation of Mortal Remains – It covers the cost of transporting the mortal remains of the policyholder to his/her home in case of accidental death.
Optional Cover:
- Accidental Hospitalization – It covers the medical expenses incurred on accidental hospitalization of the insured and compassionate visit of an immediate family member. It also pays a daily allowance for up to 5 days in case the insured is admitted to a hospital after an accident.
- Permanent Total Disablement Improvement – It ensures that the insurance company pays double the amount payable under the permanent total disablement cover.
- Permanent Partial Disablement Improvement – It enables the policyholder to get twice the amount payable under the permanent partial disablement cover.
- Accidental Hospitalization Expenses – It covers the cost of hospitalization required for the treatment of an accidental injury.
- Convalescence Benefit – It pays a lump sum amount to the insured in case he/she is admitted to a hospital after an accident for more than a certain number of days.
- Accidental Hospitalization Daily Allowance – It pays a daily allowance to the insured in case he/she is hospitalized for more than a certain number of days after meeting with an accident.
- Temporary Total Disablement – It pays a weekly compensation to the policyholder for up to 100 weeks in case he/she suffers from temporary total disability due to an accident.
- Accidental OPD Cover – It covers the medical expenses incurred on OPD treatment taken for injuries sustained in an accident.
- Common Carrier Mishap Cover - It provides an additional amount up to 100% of the sum insured in case the insured dies in an accident of his/her common carrier or suffers from permanent total disablement.
What is Not Covered by Care Secure Personal Accident Insurance Plan?
The Care Secure Personal Accident Insurance plan does not cover the following medical expenses:
- Pre-existing diseases
- Intentional self-injury
- Injuries due to alcohol or drug addiction
- HIV AIDS
- External congenital anomaly
- Bacterial infections
- Mental Illness
