Step 1: Visit the homepage of the Parivahan Sewa website.
Step 2: From the menu bar, select 'Online Services'.
Step 3: From the options, tap on 'Vehicle Related Services'.
Step 4: Tap on 'Tamil Nadu' from the states given in the list.
Step 5: Select your RTO and click on 'Proceed'.
Step 6: Under 'Status', click on 'Know Your Application Status'.
Step 7: Enter your RC application number.
Step 8: Click 'Submit' to check your RC status.
The NextGen mParivahan app does not feature an option to check your RC status in Tamil Nadu. However, you can add your existing RC with the help of your vehicle details. These details include the registration number of your car and the last five digits of the chassis and engine number.

Step 1: Visit the Policybazaar.com.

Step 3: Enter the number of your car registration.
Step 4: Tap 'View RC Status' and the details will be displayed on the screen.
Note: The 'Check Vehicle RC Status' sometimes requires more vehicle details to fetch the RC status, such as make and model, fuel type, etc.
Here are the steps to download an RC in Tamil Nadu:
Visit the RC status page on the Parivahan Sewa portal.
Tap on the option listed for 'Download Document'.
Complete the OTP verification process after entering all the vehicle details.
The option to download RC in Tamil Nadu will now appear on your screen.
Once the above-mentioned steps are completed, book an appointment. Visit the RTO on the scheduled date and complete the process.
