Types of United India Car Insurance Policy
United India Insurance Company provides two types of car insurance policies. They are:
1. Liability Only Car Insurance Policy
Under the Liability Only car insurance policy, the insurer will provide coverage to the policyholder against any third party liability arising due to an accident of the insured car. Third party liabilities include death or bodily injury to the third party and third party property damages.
However, the third party liability policy does not cover own damages sustained by the insured vehicle. Moreover, the coverage provided under this car policy is limited to Rs. 7.5 lakh for property damage but is unlimited for demise or bodily injury to the third party.
2. Private Car Package Policy
The Private Car Package or comprehensive car insurance policy provides coverage against damages sustained by the insured car due to unanticipated events like road accidents, theft, fire, natural calamities, etc. This car policy also covers damages sustained by the third party, such as death, injury and property damages.
Moreover, the extent of comprehensive car insurance can also be increased by purchasing additional covers at an extra premium.
