This Liberty vehicle insurance policy covers a policyholder against third party liabilities, such as third party injury/death and third party property damage involving the insured car. It helps to fulfil the mandatory requirement of having a third-party insurance cover for every car owner in India.
Under this policy, the liability for third party injury or death is unlimited but third party property damage are only covered up to Rs. 7.5 lakh. However, this policy does not cover damages incurred by the insured car.
2. Standalone Own Damage Policy
The Standalone Own Damage policy by Liberty car insurance covers the insured car against damages arising due to unexpected incidents like a road accident, theft, fire, natural calamities, etc. This policy only covers the insured car and can be purchased in addition to the third-party liability-only policy. For instance, if a policyholder already has a third party liability and wants to cover damages to own car, then he/she can purchase a standalone own damage policy.
3. Comprehensive Car Insurance Policy
The Comprehensive car policy by Liberty motor insurance provides coverage against damages to the insured car along with third-party liabilities. This policy compensates the policyholder in case the insured car meets with an unforeseen incident such as accident, theft, fire, earthquake, riots, etc. Along with covering the insured car, the comprehensive car insurance plan also covers third party liability, such as third party injury, death or property damage.
The coverage of a comprehensive plan can also be enhanced by purchasing add-on covers offered by the insurance company at an extra premium amount.
