    Coverage Offered 

    To buy Oriental Super Health Top-up plan, one can either opt for an Individual plan or a family floater plan up to the sum insured, ranging from 3 lakhs to 30 lakhs.

    The following basic coverage is provided under the Oriental Super Health Top-up Health Insurance:

    • In-hospitalization benefit- Any medical expenses incurred during in-hospitalization are covered, including room rent, ICU charges etc., up to the sum insured.
    • Pre-hospitalization benefit-Any medical expenses incurred up to 30 days before hospitalization are covered.
    • Post-hospitalization benefit- Any medical expenses incurred up to 60 days after hospitalization are covered.
    • Daycare treatments - Medical procedures that require less than 24 hours for hospitalization are covered.
    • Dental treatments- Any dental treatments that arise due to an illness or accident are covered.
    • Maternity Benefit - Maternity expenses incurred during hospitalization are covered up to 10% of the sum insured. The newborn baby cover is provided up to 5 % of the sum insured for 90 days.
    • Organ donor benefit -Organ donor expenses are provided whether the policyholder is a recipient or a donor.
    • Telemedicine expenses - Any medical expenses incurred on teleconsultation from a qualified medical practitioner for a diagnostic treatment are covered.
    • Modern treatment -Treatments that require modern surgeries are covered.
    • Mental Illnesses -Treatment required for any mental illness is covered, including pre and post-hospitalization expenses.

    Inclusions of the Plan

    Apart from the basic coverage, the following covers are included in the Oriental Super Health Top-up Health Insurance:

    Coverage to SAARC Countries - Persons who incur medical treatment expenses while visiting SAARC countries are covered up to the sum insured and are eligible for reimbursement.

    HIV/AIDS Cover - Medical expenses incurred for treatment of HIV Aids diseases or related symptoms like acute HIV infection or clinical latency are covered.

    Mid-term inclusion-Mid-term inclusion of a newly married spouse, a newborn baby or a legally adopted child is allowed.

    AYUSH Treatments- Treatments taken under Ayurveda or Homeopathy are covered up to the sum insured limit.

    Treatments covered - The following procedures are covered if treated as daycare or inpatient treatment:

    • Balloon Sinuplasty
    • IONM
    • Deep brain stimulation
    • Oral Chemotherapy
    • Uterine Artery embolization
    • Robotic surgeries
    • Stereotactic radio surgeries
    • Immunotherapy
    • Intravitreal injections
    • Bronchial Thermoplasty
    • Vaporization of the prostate
    • Stem Cell therapy

    Exclusions of the plan

    The following treatments and diseases, and their expenses, are excluded from the Oriental Super Health Top-up Insurance Policy:

    • Pre-existing diseases
    • Investigation or diagnostic purpose only
    • Sex change, cosmetic surgery, plastic surgery
    • Infertility treatment
    • Obesity and weight control
    • Change of gender treatments
    • Excluded providers
    • Hazardous or adventure sport
    • Unproven treatment
    • Self-harm injury
    • War or invasion like occurrence
    • Nuclear or biological attack weapons
    • OPD treatments
    • Treatment outside Indian except for SAARC countries

    • 30 days waiting period for all illnesses, not applicable on renewals and accidents

    Cancellation of the Policy

    To cancel the Oriental Super health Top-up plan, please refer to the following rules and guidelines:

    • A free look period of 15 days is applicable to new policies. The policyholder can return the policy within 15 days, and the amount will be refunded after deducting any expenses incurred by the company within that period and stamp duty charges.
    • Policy canceled after 15 days will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
    • If a policy is canceled after 6 months, no amount will be refunded.
