Oriental Happy Family Floater Policy 2015 is a family floater insurance plan covering individuals and their family members. As a family floater plan, it covers at least two persons per family. The policy has three plan categories namely Silver, Gold and Diamond. In exchange for a regular premium, the policy offers coverage for medical expenses, including hospital cash benefit, maternity cover, attendant allowance etc.

It is a family floater policy that includes three key plan options, categorized as Silver, Gold and Diamond plans. The coverage provided by these plans ranges from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.

The policyholders will get coverage for the following benefits if they buy Oriental Happy Family Floater Policy 2015.

  • In-Patient Treatment: The in-patient treatment cover includes medical expenses, ambulance and bed charges and others. It also covers maternity and new-born baby under Diamond plan.
  • Pre-hospitalization Treatment: Oriental Happy Family Floater Policy 2015 Insurance Policy offers support for any medical expenses for 30 days before hospitalization, in case the beneficiary is hospitalized for a considerable period.
  • Post-hospitalization Treatment: In case it requires, Online Oriental Happy Family Floater Policy 2015 covers post-hospitalization expenses for 60 days from the day of discharge.
  • Domiciliary Treatment: The Policy covers up to Rs 50,000 for domiciliary treatment. The policy coverage includes only medical expenses and animal bite treatment as applicable.
  • AYUSH Treatment: Oriental Happy Family Floater Health Insurance covers expenses for alternative treatment such as Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.
  • Organ Donor: It covers expenses and offers benefits when the insured person is the recipient or donor.
  • Restoration of Sum Insured: Oriental Happy Family Floater Policy 2015 Health Insurance allows restoration of the inclusive slab from Rs 3 lakh to 10 lakh. It is applicable only for Silver and Gold plans.

Inclusions of the Policy

Apart from the above coverage, the policy also includes the following:

  • Cash Allowance: The policy offers cash allowance for up to 1.5% of the total Sum Insured for a maximum of 10 days as applicable under the Diamond plan.
  • Critical Illnesses: Oriental Happy Family Floater Health Insurance covers 11 critical illnesses from the categories listed below.
  • Few cancerous diseases
  • Cardiac treatments
  • Coma with a certain severity
  • Motor Neuron diseases
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Organ transplant
  • Paralysis of limbs
  • Kidney failure etc.
  • Optional cover: The Policy also offers option covers and additional benefits, such as geographically extended protection, sum restoration, accidental cover and Life Hardship Survival benefit.

Exclusions of the Policy

Oriental Happy Family Floater Policy 2015 Health Insurance policy does not cover the following treatments or expenses:

  • Hospital admission for diagnostic or investigation purpose
  • Hospitalization for cosmetic surgery, war injuries, infertility, genetic conditions, suicide attempt, HIV or STD-related diseases etc.
  • Pre-existing diseases up to 2 years from the policy is in force
  • Obesity treatment, injury related to adventure sports, damages due to alternative procedures taken, etc.

Oriental Happy Family Floater Policy 2015 Health Insurance plan has the following benefits and features:

  • It offers New Born Baby cover till 90 days from the date of birth.
  • Oriental Happy Family Floater Policy 2015 Health Insurance offers benefits for survival while hospitalized for up to 270 days if sufferingfrom any listed critical illnesses.
  • The policyholders can get a daily cash allowance of Rs 1000 for a maximum of 10 days in case of hospitalization.
  • The tax benefits offered by the Policy as per Income Tax Act 1961.

The minimum eligibility conditions of the policy are as mentioned below:

Cancellation of the Policy

  • In case of new issuance, the policyholders can cancel the Oriental Happy Family Floater Health Insurance policy within 15 days free look period if they did not make any claims. Policyholders can cancel the Policy anytime on request.
  • The company can cancel the Policy after giving 30 days' notice. The policyholders will be refunded with premiums as applicable. However, they will not get any refund in case of fraudulent activities.
