Under Oriental Overseas Mediclaim Policy (E&S), one can opt for the Individual or Family Floater option; the sum insured will be paid in US$ currency (US$ 75,000). Ans: The overseas mediclaim offered by Oriental health insurance is applicable for covering medical emergencies, transport costs, and losses. The policy does not function as a conventional health insurance plan. Therefore, benefits of added returns are not provided to the insured and family.
Ans: Overseas mediclaim is meant only as an emergency health cover; therefore, tax benefits are not provided.
Ans: The policy tenure lasts for one year. After policy commencement, termination occurs twelve months hence.
Ans: To buy Oriental health insurance online, the customer is required to register on the official website of The Oriental Insurance Company Limited. Details of the insured and/or family are to be entered. After filling up of the application form, the premium amount is to be paid online.
Ans: Documents with medical treatment and policy details (name of treating doctor, policy ID with date of commencement), claim form (available with The Oriental Insurance Company Limited), invoices, travel documents, medical certificates, medical prescriptions, and receipts should be submitted for a claim.
