Hyderabad's roads are fast, busy, and constantly watched. And if you have zipped through a signal a little too late or parked where you shouldn't have it, chances are, an e-Challan might already be waiting with your name (or number plate) on it. The good news? You don't need to visit the traffic police station or wait for a physical notice. Whether you're clearing dues or being cautious, checking your e-Challan status in Hyderabad is now just a few clicks away.

If you've received a traffic challan in Hyderabad, there's no need to worry. The city offers simple ways to settle it—online or in person. You can choose what works best for you, without running from counter to counter.
The Parivahan e-Challan site is run by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
Go to echallan.parivahan.gov.in
Enter your Challan/ Vehicle/Driving Licence number.
Click 'Get Details' to check if any fines are due.
If there's a challan listed, click 'Pay Now'.
Make the Hyderabad e-challan payment online.
You can also pay your traffic violation fine on the Hyderabad Traffic Police website, which redirects to the Telangana Police website.
Not everyone prefers online transactions—and that's perfectly fine. In Hyderabad, many traffic officers carry swipe machines and can accept payment on the spot for smaller offences. Or, if you'd rather visit in person, just walk into the nearest traffic police station with your challan details. Payments can be made there using cash, UPI, or cards.

Follow these steps and stay penalty-free on Hyderabad roads:
Always wear a seatbelt when driving.
Always put on a helmet when riding a two-wheeler.
Make sure your insurance is valid.
Always carry valid documents, such as a DL, RC, insurance papers, and PUC certificate.
You must follow traffic signals and road signs carefully.
The easiest way is to raise a complaint on the Parivahan e-Challan portal. You'll need to fill in a few details, explain the issue, and upload any proof—like a photo of your vehicle or a bill from that date. If you'd rather speak to someone directly, walk into your nearest traffic police station with your documents. Explain the situation—they'll check the records and guide you on how to sort it out.
It may take up to 24 hours to reflect. If it still doesn't appear, visit the nearest traffic police station with the SMS for clarification.
You'll get a confirmation and transaction ID after paying.
While there’s no fixed late fee, ignoring it could lead to licence suspension or vehicle action during checks.
If ownership wasn’t transferred at the RTO, challans will continue in your name. Carry the sale proof and get the records updated at the RTO or traffic station.
