    Turkey

    Indians can easily apply for an online visa to travel to Turkey. With several restrictions in place, Turkey is open to tourism and offers many immersive experiences to tourists. The country is open to fully-vaccinated visitors including Indians given that all the entry requirements are met.

    • Things to Do: Don't forget to visit the Aya Sofya Mosque, ruins of Ephesus, Topkapi Palace, Pamukkale, Patara Beach and the spectacular Sumela Monastery.
    • Entry Requirements: Duly filled Traveller Entry Form before arriving in Turkey, Negative PCR test result from the sample within 72 hours of arrival in Turkey, proof of full vaccination (2 doses) 

    Greece

    Among the world's most historical and beautiful places, Greece is a favourite among foreigners for its fascinating culture and stunning beauty. From ancient archaeological sites to balmy sandy beaches, the country is perfect for a much-awaited holiday at the end of the year.

    Greece finally lifted its stringent restrictions this December and has included Indian citizens among the limited categories of visitors who are allowed to enter its borders. Indians can apply for a short-stay visa given that they meet all the testing and entry requirements. Travellers need to complete and submit a PLF detailing their point of departure, their previous stays etc. Visitors should download the Visit Greece app prior to their arrival in Greece.

    • Things to Do: The Acropolis in Athens, Temple of Zeus, a blue seas-filled caldera in Santorini, Mykonos' chic hotels and live music venues, Delphi- a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Corfu Town and Zakynthos
    • Entry Requirements: Completed PLF, proof of complete vaccination, negative PCR test report not older than 72 hours or a negative rapid antigen test up to 24 hours old.

    Brazil

    New Year is one of the best times to visit the largest South American country, with the promise of sunshine and festivities. The country is lined with golden beaches and colonial architecture. Starting with Rio de Janeiro’s legendary Cristo Redentor and the Carnaval that starts shortly after the New Year, you will not regret coming here!  

    Brazil has announced revised entry guidelines for all international travellers requiring them to present vaccination proof and a negative COVID-19 test report. A yellow-fever vaccination certificate is required when Indians re-enter India.

    • Things to Do: Visit the Sugar Loaf rock peak, Iguacu Falls, Copacabana, beaches of Leblon, Amazon Rainforests, Salvador's Pelourinho, Sao Paulo Art Museum
    • Entry Requirements: Proof of negative COVID-19 test or a rapid antigen test within 24 hours of boarding, duly filled Declaration of Traveller's Health (DSV) 24 hours before departure, Proof of vaccination

    Phuket

    One of the largest and most famous islands of Thailand, Phuket can be a perfect place to welcome the new year while you enjoy its brilliant blue waters and excellent cuisine.

    Thailand allows fully-vaccinated travellers to enter the country through the Phuket Sandbox programme where no quarantine is required, given that the travellers stay in Phuket for seven days before exploring other parts of Thailand.

    • Things to Do: Relax at Patong Beach, Visit the picturesque Phuket Town, Jui Tui Shrine, Go on island boat tours, hike up to the Three Beaches Hill and more.
    • Entry Requirements: Travel health insurance of minimum USD 50,000, negative RT PCR test issued within 72 hours before departure, two post-arrival RT PCR tests required
